Hello All
My brother is in the process of buying his first house and rang me this morning informing me that Halifax are now offering £1100 on completion on their first time buyer mortgages.
It seems to be two year fixed deals with a deposit of 25% or less so could really help people wanting to get on the ladder

Could help.
Could also cost people more money.

Its all smoke and mirrors. If they give FTBs £1,100 of cashback they will most likely take it away through a higher interest rate.
See a broker and see what they can offer to compare with the Halifax rate.0
