New stock will be more more expensive and less of it. As retailers will need to recover gross margin from somewhere.

my bet now is that Q2 will be revised down to 0.5% fall in gdp(unusual in itself)that Q3 will be slightly positive whilst Q4 and Q1(2013)both negative thus leading to a triple dip recession
you cannot take billions out of the economy in the form of cuts and expect much if any real growth
