Import Duties When Sending to Australia

Does any kind soul know whether import duties will be payable if I send about $90 (Australian) worth of books to Australia.
I want to buy a collection of Beatrix Potter books as a gift for my new niece but books tend to be a lot more expensive in Australia and it is much more economical for me to buy them them from Amazon.com (where the exchange rate is good) and shipped out to Australia.
As far as I can see there shouldn't be any import duty (even if Amazon don't mark them as a gift) but I'm not 100% sure and it would be embarassing if my brother was charged for my gift.
Any advice gratefully received.

According to the following page on the Australian Customs website, goods (other than booze and baccy) posted to Oz with a value below A$1000 aren't subject to import taxes!

Whereas in this country the VAT-free postal import limit is £18....0 -

Sorry, I somehow missed this reply but thanks very much. You are right about the import amount - I actually ended up contacting Australian customs and they confirmed that this is correct.
Thanks again.
