Quick question re mortgage application

Options
Me and my partner are currently struggling to save a deposit for a mortgage while paying nearly £900 per month rent, plus all the other regular household bills :(

Our latest idea is to move into my mother in laws spare room for a few months. We should be able to save £2k per month and hopefully have our deposit in no time :j

My question is, will this have an adverse affect on our chances of getting a mortgage? Does lots of previous addresses look bad ie No stability?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Provided you are on voters roll and can be traced, you should be fine, if everything else is marginal, then it "may" be the final straw.

If it is just one extra address then it should not create too many problems.

Make sure you change all your bank statements and credit card addresses to the new address, these will come in useful for proof of address as the utilities etc won't be in your name.

It will also help to make sure you are on the electoral register

Changing addresses do add into your credit record, however as long as you are informing all the agreement providers and other related parties in your credit report of the change all should be fine.

Register to the Electoral Roll as the first and most important thing, then change address on all your other providers.

Best of luck with Deposit saving
