  • You've been doing well with your (lack of!) spending. Sounds like you had a fab weekend too :D

    Roll on Friday now, eh?!? :D

    Looking forward to payday at the end of this week so I can really start making progress on the cards.

    Thanks so much Robin for your encouraging message! I love that you understand London prices....! Hope you had a good weekend too.

    It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend Dallas; and low-spend too - well done! At this rate you'll soon be able to push higher repayments at your cards, so I hope you can keep the trend going until payday. :)

    Yes I know about London prices - PC worked there before he retired and it always appalled me how much we spent when we were both at his flat.

    It's been a busy couple of days and slightly spendy too, though not too much damage done. However, it did make me remember how easy it is to spend money when it's just 'there' - instead of making all the frugal choices...
    I invoiced for my freelance job at the weekend and got paid £225. I paid £60 to my Nwide card followed by;
    £33.50 in Waitrose for my weekly food, including wine & dessert to take to a friend's house.
    £7.65 on my monthly prescription, though as redkez helpfully suggested, I wrote a note on my repeat asking for 3 months next time - thanks!
    £33.06 in Planet Organic ( a bit of a danger area) - I bought my usual supplements which are definitely a luxury and I did treat myself to a nice candle as well which I have had burning in my bedroom tonight. A present to myself for working hard at the weekend and being ever so slightly tired today..!
    Total = £134.21

    I am determined that tomorrow will be a no-spend day; lunch sorted, and a quiet evening washing in preparation for a big wedding this weekend.

    Hope everyone doing well!

  • Hey :D

    Have you noticed the change?! A month ago you'd maybe have spent that whole £225 without batting an eyelid. Now? You're paying a bit off the card, and very aware of where the rest is going, right down to the very pennies! :D

    Few more weekends like that and you'll be rolling in it... :beer:
