Not regulated by Consumer credit Act

Options
I wrote to my mortgage lender as per Martins suggested letter regarding getting info under sections 77-79 of Consumer Credit Act to see if I had been paying PPI. They have written back to say mortgage not covered by CC Act does this mean that I will not have paid PPI, as they are asking for £10 for processing a Subject Access Request.

Mortgages are not regulated under the consumer credit act. So any request quoting that act to get details is destined for failure.

Also, mortgage PPI doesnt appear on mortgage agreements. So, even if they did supply it, it wouldnt tell you whether you had it or not.

Have you not looked at your bank statements to see if it is being paid each month?

One of the reasons there are so few successful complaints on MPPI is that it is mostly set up correctly as a monthly premium. No lender has ever done single premium on MPPI. So, it doesnt suffer the same issues there as loan PPI.

Even if you are paying it, and many people do with good reason, that is not grounds for complaint. If you have it, what are your complaint reasons going to be?
