We have had a mortgage with Nationwide for 13 years
Naturally we have life insurance to cover in any event.......
My question is would they have sold us PPI?

The only people with the answer to that is Nationwide.

It's more likely they sold you mortgage payment protection or accident, sickness and unemployment cover with premiums payable each month.
This cover is unlikely to be mis-sold unless you had other resources to pay your mortgage in the event of illness or unemployment or were self-employed where the unemployment cover may be worthless.
As GMS suggested, only you can find out if you have such cover and if so, what type it is...I am a mortgage broker. you tell us. You have your bank statements and would know if it is being paid each month. You would have been the ones that completed the application if you did want it.
They certainly have the product available but we dont have access to your bank statements to see if it is going through each month.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
