Any M&S staff about? Re: online discount

I found out today that they have now sorted out the M&S website and they will now be offering unlimited 20% online employee discount!:j
You can also use the discount via the Telephone Order Service.

About time too I think, now I will be able to shop in the sales online instead of just instore without losing any discount.

In the next few days you will get all the information you need to activate your discount.:T

At the moment though only the employee will be able to use their discount, your nominated user won't be able to.

Anyone know what the staff discount deal is with the electronics depts in speific stores? Ipods and flat screen TVs specifically? I have a nominated discount card via my other half but conversations with the staff range from "no" to "dunno" without any hard facts.

Haha I actually didnt mind working there as the store is only a two min walk from my house, unfortunately uni work has got in the way.... i may return one day tho....when I am skint..lol!

I was told that the staff discount cannot be used on those type of electricals...tv's,ipods etc!

Im sure that is wrong - It states that you can use the discount on ANYTHING:money:

I remember I tried to use my discount card when I tried to buy those sony cameras that M&S had and was refused

You can't use your discount in the Technology department or on gift vouchers. It will be in the terms and conditions somewhere.
The last thing I heard was that they were trying to negotiate some kind of discount with the suppliers (of items in the Technology dept) but not been told anymore since.

i agree with ti1980 you cannot use your discount on technology items, back when they first launched them and it was just radios phones and cameras you got 10% but hen they introduced tvs etc. this stopped. Shame cause i wouldnt mid 20% off an lcd tv and ps3.
Also agree with ti1980 on the situation of working somewhere better everyone thing m&s is a great place to work for all i can say is you try working for them then you will find out what its like.
