Income Tax Rebate Help

Hello,

I called HMRC today to ask if my claim has been processed (it was sent in two weeks ago) and I was advised that I will recieve a reply by the 24th August. I have asked them to pay me into my bank account so does this mean that I will have my rebate in my bank account by the 24th August?

Thank you in advance :j

no, it means they'll reply by 24th (if you believe them :)) ...

if the reply is that they agree you're due a rebate, then the money should be in your account soon after - it might take a few days more, though.
