Quitting part time work

I work part time as a steward at the local football stadium near me but my hours are whenever there is a match on then I have 5 hours of work and its not guaranteed work either nor do I have to work every single shift as I can choose when to work and when not to.
But because I am off to university in September I won't be able to make it back and forth for the shifts either and right now I am claiming job seekers to find work near my university but say if I do resign from my current part time job will this mean I get sanctioned by job seekers to quitting my part time work?

You can't claim JSA as a full-time student, so why not just keep the job until you actually move away to uni and your claim closes?0

What earthbound said.
Plus there's the fact that it's nigh on impossible to find entry level work in a city that you don't yet live in. Keep the PT work on, quit just before you to go uni, and then apply to the local football stadium and / or some agencies that supply stewards for such events.0 -

I know that I can't claim jsa while being a full time student but the question is before I start University if I quit this part time work I'm doing at the moment whilst claiming jsa right now at the same time would job centre stop my jsa because I voluntarily resigned from my part time work?0 -

True but I don't see myself doing steward work also because of religious reasons. I'll be honest, working in a stadium is a head f*** and that's just me being polite.0 -

Not doing stewarding for religious reasons is entirely your own choice (especially given that I am unaware that any religion says "thou shalt not work as a steward"). You seem to have had no problem with it up until this point, so I don't see why you can't carry on doing it for another month. I have no sympathy if you are sanctioned for making that decision.
Agencies do offer other types of work - for instance if you have an SIA licence then you could work on the doors, or you could do hospitality waiting / bar work.0 -
If you have been declaring this part time work regularly for some time it is within the guidance that a form should be sent to your employer asking why you left just like any other job but the chances of the member of staff knowing this and acting on it are probably slim to nothing."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
