Sainsburys are selling acer laptop for the above price.

This is more of a 'netbook' rather than a 'laptop' (it only has a 10.1" screen.) The RAM is poor at 1GB - most laptops nowadays have 2GB at the very minimum.
I worked in PC World for a long time and netbooks of this kind of spec have always been around this price. They are only really useful for browsing the web and are handy due to the portability but I wouldn't get one in replacement of a desktop/laptop.

agree with previous poster. This is a netbook(no CD/DVD drive etc, but that wouldnt matter if transfer things using USB).
Also dont know running windows 7 on an Atom processor has any downsides(may run slower). Wife has a Samsung NC10, which we bought 2 years ago, no problems with that at all.0 -

don't buy it. don't try to get the cheapest. it will not last long. should spend around 300 on a laptop atleast.0
