Heading up to the North coast for a few days. Haven't been up there in years so am looking for restaurant recommendations. We like all types of cuisine and don't mind splashing out on this occasion.

The Harbour Bar complex beside Waterworld in Portrush is great!0

I would second the Harbour bar. Or the Coast, Ramore or Oriental. They're all beside each other so easy to pick one when you're there. All very nice.
55 North at the Arcadia in Portrush has lovely food.
The Royal Court does really nice food too, including a carvery. If the weather is good it's a good place to go and watch the sun sink
There's a new place opened in Portstewart: Me & Mrs Jones. Haven't managed to get a table yet but it's always packed and I have heard that the food is fab.
Shenanigans in Portstewart is one of my favourites. Then go next door to Bentley's to finish off with a cappucinoWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Shenanigans and the Icehouse in Portstewart, good spots.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

There is also a good restaurant opposite the Ramada Hotel in Portrush, lovely food, and cosy atmosphere. Can't remember the name of it though.0

Update on above post : Was at Me & Mrs Jones last night
Fancy place so got to wear my new dressNot a jeans/trainers/trackie/hoodie place at all!!
My food was really tasty, although OH said he could've made the same dish he'd got at home (only better!)
Kids menu hadn't a bad selection and was really well priced, plus the portions were big, plus their drinks were included.
So...
2 adults main meals, 5 kids meals, 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 extra side, 1 extra sauce... £50.95!! We were well pleased with that!
Have to say the service was really good too. It was the same lady dealt with us all evening, and was attentive without standing over the table all the time either.
Would definitely go back and try something different off the menuWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

Have to say I have personally avoided it. The owner has been convicted of some dodgy deeds and it puts me off going there. Just google Norman Menary.0 -

They need to make stuff like that more obvious. Wouldn't have had a clue about that had you not said...Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
The owner isn't the lease holder
Menary only owns the building. Nothing to do with the hotel/resturaunt0 -
I would check out the Trip Advisor reviews of the Portstewart restaurant, very mixed to say the least.0

Water Margin in Coleraine is top class chinese if you feel like splashing out- very restauranty and special. They do shoppers specials too. Harbour/Ramore/Coast complex all good food but as they are so busy you are usually given 1 1/2 or so at your table. Oriental much more relaxed which is above the ramore.
For food during the day Home Made in Coleraine gets good reviews. Ground does great coffee and yummy buns - places in Coleraine/Portrush/Bushmills.
Enjoy your visit to this wonderful part of the country. Recently researching visiting Nice in france and one of the posters told me that yes Nice has nice coastlines but nothing compares to North Antrim..... def specialENJOY
