Would somebody employed in Sept 2011 be protected after one year or two years against dismissal? Are they about to reach the point at which they would be protected against unfair dismissal or does the new law mean there is another year to run?

for employees in employment before 6 April 2012 the qualifying period is unchanged at one year - the right to request a written reason for dismissal is unchanged at one year0
