Hi all.
Me and my partner are looking to buy our own place. We have seen a few that we like and are pressing on with saving a deposit. Due to the LTV that Yorkshire bank are giving out, 95%, it looks like we are going to apply with them for our mortgage when we are ready.
The house range we have been looking at is around the 75-90k mark (im up north, its more than enough
). On our current salaries Santander, whom we had a quick chat with last week, said they' potentially give us up to £140K, obviously we dont want this much, the monthly payments would be too much for us. So we saw that YB are doing a 95% mortgage at around 6% interest for the first 3 years. I know that is quite high but is the quickest way into getting our deposit together for our own place.
So I suppose the question is, do you more knowledgable people know if this is our best way of getting into the market, without having to save for years for a 90% mortgage.
Thanks.
