Has anyone experience of Mint Loans? OH has a Mint card with a £5K balance. It's up to it's limit and it seems it would be wise to get a loan to clear it. He has had the Mint card for at least 10 years. However although once upon a time it was paid in full every month, the past couple of years it has often just been minimum payments and on several occasions the payment has been a couple of days late.
How likely is he to get a loan with them? I am on a DMP. Will this effect the application? He does have a good income and other than 2 credit cards has no other real outgoings. If approved will they take away the CC or let him keep it?
I know people will say to transfer to a 0% card instead but I'm doubtful as to how likely this is with me mucking up our credit ratings.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

Are your credit files linked at all (joint account, mortgage etc) ?
If the card is maxxed out, has he addressed the spending that has done this or in a years time will the card be maxed out again but with a huge loan too?
If he has no real outgoings can he not pay more than the minimum and clear the card that way? with a good income it shouldnt take more than a year of buckling down and throwing everything he has at it.0
