orange - refund

Is there any one out there who has problem with orange. I have recently purchased there text saver package and it is nt working on my phone properly. (it is still charging me for texts) I spoke to there customer services dept and they say this is a known problem. I told this to the shop and asked for my money back. Who say as i have registered it the my phone i cant have a refund and point blank refuse to give me a refund as this is their company policy. Spent 40minutes in the shop today arguing about it. Got me no where. Any advice on where to go from here ? Any replies much appreciated as this is a point of principal (damn thing only cost me a tenner).

Thanks CJB

I guess they will be hard to get now as they have to be registered by 14th September I think as Orange are discontinuing them. Might be too late for online ordering now
  • Thanks Baked_Beans-lady for that tip I will try it out and see where it leads me.

Shelly, I got the text saver package from the Orange shop in Wakefield, West yorkshire. It was part of a deal where if you put £20 credit on your phone you got the text saver package half price.

I've have problems with my textsaver for approximately six months and regularly phone orange in this regard. The last time I phoned orange I was offered £20, the cost of the textsaver, plus the textsaver would still be on my phone and i may or may not be charged for texts I send. I said I was not happy with this as I had paid for a service that I was not receiving (thought it was worth a try). She went away, rang me back 5 mins later and offered £30! Also she offered to check my account regularly and refund any texts charged for. I accepted this offer (who wouldn't) approximately 2 weeks ago and am waiting to see if she checks my account regularly and does any refunds. So far I have only been charged for a couple of texts, but if I do not hear then I will be ringing them.

It is certainly worth ringing customer service and if you are not happy, try again in the hope of receiving someone more helpful.
  • thank you for all the info above. It is nice to know people are having similar problems and what you are doing about it.

I feel galvanised in to action even more now.

    Thanks again
