    From today's headlines:

"E.ON, Germany's biggest power supplier, on Monday confirmed its full-year forecasts after net profit more than trebled in the first six months."

So why not extend SaveOnline9 or offer something competitive? Clearly they can afford it.

It's funny though, how big companies nowadays have to find an excuse for such high increase in profit. This time it's something to do with Russian supplier. So it's not your fault guys (paying customers). Don't blame yourself ;)

P.S. Off to Scottish Energy :-P

Shocking really isn't it when we're all struggling to pay our bills :(

Helena, my contract is up on the 20th September, do I need to arrange to switch AFTER this date or if I put in to switch companies a week before will it all tie in together without me getting hit for the leaving fees?

    Hi Andy_WSM,

I'm sorry there is nothing competitive from us, as I do know you have been a customer a long time so it's a shame to lose you.

Malc had a similar question the other day about timing a switch, so have a look at his thread.

    Hope this helps a bit.

Another one going. I have been hanging on hoping they would come up with something competitive just like the old days where they were always on top. Bye bye EON, it was good whilst it lasted. (changing to an awful website hasn't helped :p)

I've come to the same conclusion - Saveonline 9 has come to an end and EON have nothing else competitive. Off to Scottish Power - no cancellation charges with their latest tariff either.

EON have miscalculated/taken their eye off the ball.
  • Looks like EON will be losing lots of loyal customers. Very shortsighted of them. I have never needed to change Supplier before (over 40 years an EON customer) as EON always had a competitive tariff. Looks like time to move on. Shame.
yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present ;)
  • I'm another one leaving EON - just about to start my switch as my Saveonline 9 finishes at the end of the month.

We'll be off to Scottish Power, for a while at least.

I must remember to submit my meter readings and ask for a bill on the day Saveonline 9 finishes though.

I've always been happy with EON, and would have stayed with them if they had a tariff which was only slightly more expensive than the competition. £150 is too much to swallow!

Likewise, Ive been stalling a switch for 2 weeks now hoping for a deal to at least match the likes of EDF etc.

I shall be working away for a couple of days, when I return I will be switching unless EON can announce something good immediately.

I'm on saveonline 9 too and also about to end. It looks like Scottish Power is the best deal I can find but I'm still looking.
