Made a big error - need to allow someone else to pick up tickets

Hi All,

I bought some volleyball tickets this morning for tomorrow, then bought some hockey tickets for tomorrow wrongly thinking i could just put the other volleyball tickets back in the pot!

I have someone who wants to go to the Volleyball but I only have a conformation email - no tickets.

I have called the Olympic ticket helpline and they say that I can pass the confirmation to anyone to pick up tickets and I only have to be contactable by phone!

Is that true?? Thats the official advice i have been given! but i have noticed a lot of people on this forum have not been able to collect tickets under a different name

Not sure about that but I believe you can pick the tickets up from any box office. Any chance you could pick both lots up earlier in the day and pass the physical tickets on to your friend, then you know there is going to be no problem at their venue?

I found that only the account holder ( not the card holder) was allowed to collect tickets- so for that reason i had to change my account into my sons name earlier in the week.
