Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day - April 17th

Just wanted to point out to anyone who is not aware that Ben and Jerry's use eggs in their ice cream - which really isn't a necessary ingredient, and they currently use eggs from hens kept in Battery Cages and NOT free range!
You may not realise how many products we purchase and eat that do actually contain eggs from caged hens. Please consider your purchases of any products that contain egg, if it does not state that they use free range eggs then they will be from a caged hen ( ie; mayo, jaffa cakes, quiches, egg pasta, salad cream, caesar dressing, some chocolate and the posh ice creams )0 -
I swear they have just added that 1-5pm thing in.
I thought it was until they at least close.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -
The OH just had one. He said the queues were a mile long and the cone tiny, but who cares if it is free?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
I was near Oxford Street today so I thought I'd pop by and get myself a lovely free ice cream. I went around 1 pm so the queue wasn't that big but as I was waiting, the queue was going down the road to the extent the POLICE had to calm and organise the queue. I have never seen anything like it :rotfl:
The ice cream was absolutely delicious but I wouldn't have waited as long as I think those at the back of the queue would have waited - I'd have been worried that by the time I reached the counter, all the ice cream would have finished!0 -
I was at Oxford Street at around the same time with a group of friends. Was well worth the wait - loved the ice cream!Moneysaving at its best!0

I went to Oxford Street around 1600, and there was a notice saying that the police had told them to stop giving out free ice cream.
Grrrr!0 -

I couldn't find the one in Birmingham today
Not sure if I was glad or sad about this (my levels of cheek weren't very high today) as I'd've felt such a fool wondering in to the shop and asking for my freebie and risking them giving me the look
