staying in dartford 12th and 13th aug

I am staying at a travelodge in dartford on the 12th and 13th of august, coming from yorkshire on the train, where would i be able to go to soak up some of the closing ceremony atmosphere? I dont know the area at all but i beleive there is a train station very close to the hotel.

From Dartford you can easily get to Blackheath (same train line) which has a big screen, we were there last night to watch Mo and it was a good crowd, a few thousand, so nowhere near as many as Hyde park, but enough for a very nice atmosphere, and there is a funfair.

Turn left when you walk out of Blackheath station and up the hill towards the heath.
