Approx timescale to completion?

Hi All
I'm looking for people's rough estimates on timescales if poss.
Mortgage offer is being sent out tomorrow and Im instructing my solicitor to start the various searches which are required re the freehold purchase of a house. The vendor will move out when i am ready to complete.
From this point (with no chain issues on either side of me as I am a FTB) - what is reasonable time to completion?
Cheers

I was going to ask the same question here but asked my solicitor instead.
Supposedly, in my case, he's received the mortgage offer but no contracts from the vendor - which is surprising as my mortgage application took AGES.
I think the vendors solicitors may be holding off on sending contracts until they see a mortgage offer these days as a workmate who purchased recently had the same issue.
I'd imagine that, with tightening criteria, they've sent too many contracts prior to mortgage offer only to find the mortgage is declined.
This is only my opinion though and I'm now at the stage where I have the mortgage offer and am waiting on the contracts from the seller.
To answer your question, noone but your solicitor can tell you as there's a multitude of things that could hold it up.0 -
I am a FTB buying a no chain flat. Offer was accepted on 1st June, hoping to exchange in the next 2 weeks.0

You don't simply complete when the paperwork is done. Completion is a compromise between purchaser and vendor.
When the paperwork is done can you agree completion with the other side of the transaction. Get all the paperwork done then think about target completion dates for your solicitor to suggest to the other party's solicitor for them to consider.I am a mortgage broker.
