Black Beans

We use black beans fairly regulary and used to buy them in cartons in our local Sainsburys. They seem to have disappeared recently and we switched to more expensive tins. However these also have now disappeared. Have searched local Tesco, Asda and Morrison but can't find them anywhere.

Anyone know who stocks them. We would like tinned or canned if possible as never plan meal times far enough ahead to soak the dried version :o.

Thanks
mto

The only ones I have seen were the organic cartons in Sainsburys, not looked recently though sorry. Were they the ones you were buying?

Tinned black beans are available from Amazon and other sellers.

It's become much harder to find dried black beans unless you have decent access to an asian supermarket: Blue Planet has dried black beans.

    Hi mto,

As this is a shopping thread I've moved it over to the Grocery Shopping board to see if you can get more help.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. i buy dried (in waitrose) cook the whole bag at a time and freeze - cheaper and just as handy as canned

I've bought the Epicure brand cans in both Sainsbury's and Waitrose recently.
