Automatic Discharge looming, a few questions

Hi all,
I can't believe that 1 year ago tomorrow I finally went bankrupt, its just flown past.
Its gone so fast and without any problems not a peep from the OR since my first telephone call the day after my court hearing (well apart form me ringing the RTLU for a couple of things but they have never contacted me) that I'm expecting something to go drastically wrong today.
I have a few questions though if someone could answer for me.
So I went BR on the 10/8/11 at 1.30pm ish, when will it show on the insolvency register as Discharged? Will it be at 1.30pm ish tomorrow afternoon or will it be at midnight tonight?
Also what happens if I don't get discharged, what if it still continues to say bankrupt?
and hythepetically speaking what happens if I should be so lucky to win the lottery tomorrow night or on saturday (must remember to put it on first lol)
Im so nervous, no idea why but like I say everything so far has gone without any problems and I've been lucky not to have an IPA/IPO I'm expecting something to go wrong today.
Thanks in advance
Pink x
(I'm sure I will have more questions in the next few weeks)

If I recall correctly, it should be midnight tonight?
No reason it should not change. If your AD had been suspended you would have heard a great deal about that from the OR before now, and that is not done without a very significant reason. You would have heard. You would know.
There can sometimes be technical glitches with the register, but that is an IT/admin thing. In the rare eventuality that happened you would contact them and ask for it to be sorted.
AD is a line in the sand, so any lottery win would be yours.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yep midnight tonight, Remember to click on your entry in the register as it will still say Bankruptcy on the front but when you go in the status should be discharged.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Thanks Fermi,
I don't know whats more nerve racking actually going bankrupt (and admiting it) or discharge.

The whole thing is an emotional rollercoaster for many. That's normal.
Should get better from now on though.
Congrats on the AD for tomorrow and hopefully a real fresh start.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Because im sad and i have nothing else to do today i have looked up the actual rule for you which is
(1)A bankrupt is discharged from bankruptcy at the end of the period of one year beginning with the date on which the bankruptcy commences.
This is interesting particularly this year as it is a leap year so you will have actually been bankrupt for 365 days 10 hours and 30 minutes, so if you do win alot of money between 1.30pm and midnight tonight i would be jumping up and down to point that out:DHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

LOL Debtinfo
thanks very much for that, it made me laugh. I don't think I will come into any money today but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a win on the Euro millions tomorrow night
(I can hope)
Thanks again for all your help

I thought you were under OR scrutiny for the whole 36 months, but then I DO have an IPA. So if I win the lottery the day after my lottery win :-) do I get to keep it.....?0
-
Yes if you are discharged and won the lottery you would get to keep it even if you were in an IPA, the reason being is that it is an Asset rather than income and IPA's only cover income, The interest on the lottery win would be income though and that would be used in the IPA calculationHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Ooh that's interesting, thanks DI. So what about one off bonuses from your main job? Think I may be due one in October, I guess they will want to know about that?0
