When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning  yay to it being Thursday :j today is a very exciting day for me as we are going to view a house after work :D and will be packing/preparing for the festival tomorrow - the weather looks glorious for the whole weekend :T

Things for today:

  • [STRIKE]checked banking [/STRIKE]- Isa from last year has disappeared from old acc but not showing up in new one yet
  • [STRIKE]checked TCB[/STRIKE] - cashback still showing up as payable tomorrow
  • [STRIKE]all meals from stores - more soda bread & cream cheese for lunch[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]post off "try me free" refund forms[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]post off glasses for refund[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]clean car in lunch break[/STRIKE]
  • Mrs Flylady the bathroom & lounge

  • pack for festival
  • oh to get tent and camping stuff from parentals
  • [STRIKE]quick shower[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]tie my hair up instead of drying[/STRIKE]
  • check onepoll & SB
  • drop off old glasses at Boots to donate to "Vision Aid overseas" both minimalist & feels good to help out others less fortunate :A
  • make plum & apple crumble to use up plums :money:

ok think that's it for me for today. Have a great penultimate day to the week :p

Grr! Just lost a really long post :( It's not my day today clearly...at least I can copy & paste most of my to do list...

    Today I have/will:-
    • Food from stores
    • Make use of free water at work
    • Log calories using free app
    • Charge phone at work
    • Pop to Mr T's on my lunchbreak to pick up a few fresh bits, saves going after work & using more petrol, & being tempted to buy more as I can use a trolley!
    • Check online banking
    • Trying to declutter a bit & do some flylady
    • Must try & do a survey or 2
    • Free exercise at home on my pole this evening
    • Made a spreadsheet showing our outstanding debt so it's easier to keep track of, as well as estimated payments we can make each month, should be debt free by November next year if all goes well!!
    • Make another spreadsheet planning what we want & what we need to do to the house, & work out a budget for it all
    • Update siggy with whopping overpayment of £767.81 to cc B which is our priority
    • Catch up on yesterday's thread
    • Buy car insurance, & ensure current supplier knows I do not want to renew as they are being cheeky & quoting almost double the price of the cheapest quote I found!
Have a great, MSE day everyone x
