Primus broadband - OMG.

I eventually managed to crowbar my way away from the remarkably incompetent TalkTalk about 6 weeks ago after years and years of broadband bliss with f2s.

Incompetent because Talk Talk are still sending me emails warning me that they're going to disconnect me if I don't pay the bill.

Anyway, i went the primus, who've had my phone line for the last couple of years.

what a mistake. awful. Blood-curdlingly awful.
Have yet to be able to watch any kind of tv stream, in 6 weeks.
Every evening around 5-7pm, it drags to a halt or boots me out to resynchronise the router every 15 minutes.
I changed routers. Same problem.

Peek time drop out = contention ratio problems.

You have been warned.

But you don't need the username, as Sky supply the router as part of the deal.

(However, you do have to have Sky TV to get Sky BB.)

... and I've heard so many complaints about Virgin, poor speeds etc I wouldn't touch them myself.

We have skyBB but not their TV just a phone line with it(no satellite or fibre optic connection).
It is roughly the same reliability as BT (we switched from them) but the customer service is much better and it costs less .

Plusnet good but you cannot expect video streaming over a phone line at peak times
