Where's my corn got to?
I am growing sweetcorn for the first time this year, in a container which the pack says is ok. I forgot to write down when I sowed the seeds and planted it out, but it wasn't late, and it's been having regular feeds.
And now the plants are getting quite tall and leafy but there is no sign at all of any cobs developing. Now I know everything in my garden is a lot later than usual but I'd have thought it would be starting to do something by now, so is there a problem or am I being impatient?

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Change the feed or don't feed if it is a high nitrogen feed as it can promote leaf growth on the expense of flowering...0

How big is the container and how many plants are in it? And how many plants in total? Idealy you need at least nine plants for sucessful pollination in a block of 3 x 3, with 12-15" spacing being the minimum.Val.0

My corn has got 2 cobs on each plant that are about 6 inches long so far and they seem to be plumping up every day although the plants arent as high as they normally are, they are only about 4 and a half feet.
I have never fed them, I just leave them to there own devices.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Well, you may need to give them a wee helping hand with pollination once the flowers start developing. Do you have any side tassels developing at all? If so run your hand over each of them in turn, every day, to help move the pollen around.Val.0
