purchasing glasses and spectacles online

I was browsing goggles4u (recommended on MSE). Nice range of specs, but Im put off by the american telelphone number and the currency keeps reverting to $$.

Can anyone recommend a good value UK site for purchasing specs online?

    in the same position!

just been recommended selectspecs from a relative. The designer ones are made in the UK and are good quality, the budget ones are less well made.

I'd go for designer for peace of mind. I think that's what I'm going to do.

are you on googles4u.co.uk - not .com ?

Ive used them for 8 ish pairs over the last 5 years +

the only problem I've had is with a rimless pair but they rectified it pretty quickly

I used Glasses Direct with last months MSE offer. I'm really pleased with both pairs, one normal and one pair of sunglasses. Really quick delivery too.

its starts .co.uk and then sometimes goes to .com when I click on view specs. prices seem to alternate between ££ and $$

Used both but only goggles4u have adult frames small enough for me! Been ace both times and each pair was under £10 as rarely wear them as I usually have contacts!

    Sorry to butt in :)

Just to let you know that all our budget items are being shipped from the UK for the forseeable future, this should give much faster delivery. With regards to quality, many of our budget items are of equal if not better quality than many of the designer branded items.
