Facing Facts

Afternoon all,

I have been a frequent visitor to these forums over the last few weeks but have never signed up but over the past few days I have come to terms with my debt and where its going to take me if I dont sort it out sooner rather than later :)

Basically me and my ex moved in together renting a house when we broke up he said to me "I'm assuming you'll have to move home to your mum without me to support you" which as you can imagine drove me mad so through my stubborness I have stayed in the house and kept it running on my own which slowly but surely has seen my debts pile up, I considered moving home but my mum is also in debt so between the money I pay on my own bills and the money she would need from me it wouldn't help to move out if that makes sense.

My main problem is dum dum dum PAYDAY LOANS which I took out so I could keep paying my normal bills and have a social life I am now aware the social life has to take a back seat, the overtime in work has finished so now come the end of the month I am going to spend out £700 more than is going to come in :O

I have listed lots of items on ebay to help but I WILL be short now I was thinking of only making token payments towards certain debts but don't want to start missing payments as this is something I have avoided completely so far

Hope this ramble makes some sort of sense and any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Hi :) First of all, well done for taking action!

Could you post up a SOA? Then people can advise on the best course of action.

It is important that you prioritise your money - eg rent is the most important thing to keep a roof over your head.

Could you ring Payday to set up a payment plan?

Can you not reduce your mobile contract ?
Can you not reduce the talk talk package ?

What about food shopping, clothes, do you have a car ?

There is a proper form you fill in and then post on here that lists food shopping, car stuff eg mot, etc. Heres the SOA others use, the link is in reply #2 (says click here in blue).
