Waited in for sky but no one came

Hi ya all,

My sky tv has been playing up lately so i gave them a ring to try and sort it out.

Now after i got throught to someone who told me what to do but to no affect he then said that he will have to send someone out to fix the problem but will cost me £60.
After a bit of words exchanging i got this charged wiped of my account and was then told that the engineer will be out on friday (today was the monday) which was very quick for sky he then asked me which would i prefer morning or afternoon i told him morning which he replied that it was all complete.

After taking time of from work on the friday and making sure the house was empty by taking the kids to nursery so that the engineer had no problems HE DIDNT TURN UP. I waited in all day for him and no one came.
On the saturday i rang sky back and said that no one came the man on the phone checked my account and said that no job was ever put in for me which shocked me and i was asked for the job reference but i was not given one and the man said that for every job they put in the customer should always get a reference but the man never gave me one.

So can i now claim money back from sky for 1. taking time of from work and 2. taking the kids into nursery

If so can someone tell me how please thank you

you could argue taking time off work, but kids at nursery?
    no chance.
If they arent charging you £60 then you have done well
  • I'd always try, but how will you prove it, think proof first ...
