By this I mean I have my bicycle ready so I wont have any transport costs, I will take my own food and drink water whilst there. I am going to be p.a. for the director of a biggish organisation and I have been looking at my clothes thinking I don't want to go out and get 'work clothes' My wardrobe is fairly fashionable, but from my previous visit to the organisation's offices I am set to join the polyester trouser and drip dry blouse brigade. Help! I spose I should just be myself but if I do that I will stick out like a sore thumb.
I don't spend loads on clothes, the most expensive items are 'necessities' like coats, yoga/gym clothes and my footwear tends to be more than the clothes.
Plus if I am cycling then trousers would be best;) What do I do? Any office fashion gurus out there?

What did you wear for your interview(s)?
That must have been acceptable.
Ring the changes on that - use your pay to extend the range a bit.0 -
Is there anywhere you can leave something smarter to change in to if you're cycling? My brother cycles to work in shorts, but that's not acceptable once he gets there ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

Well I think Ugly Betty minus a tank top would describe me most of the time.
 LOL
For the interview I had on a fitted grey dress with a very vivienne westwood neckline, so I had a cream polo neck under it, knee length boots and a lime green belt. Can't remember if the yellow necklace was there
I have just gone onto la redoute website and ordered 3 pairs of linen mix trousers at £4.50 each:) one black, one brown and one green (?)That should do me as I have plenty of tops. I begrudge spending too much on this, but I dont think they are quite ready for shorts in the office yet( sorry Kate Moss shorts in winter is so 1990 for me LOL;))
Something I need to get used to is the heating heating heating they had on - PHEW it was hot!
I think I will have to take spare shoes with me I like my heels;) but they r not too good for cycling in!
Envious of DH who wears jeans and t shirt to work in his office, despite being a company director
Next stops charity shop and maybe freecycle:)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
