Limited leave to remain & New build

Hi I have 2 quetions and I hope someone can help as the internet isn't providing any information.

1) My husband has a limited leave to remain via which has 16 months left on it. Do you think he will be able to get a mortgage? If so who do you think are good ones to try?

2) Do mortgage companies only offer 80% mortgages on new build properties?

I have looked into all these government schemes but due to me not being a first time buyer and my husbands visa status, we are not eligible (

Please help!:(

Majority of the lenders have a limit of LTV for NewBuilds and that is usually 80%

In terms of the non-UK residence comes into play, I presume your partner is possibly on some sort of dependent VISA (may be a Spouse VISA).

Recently some people have had success with Barclays in securing a mortgage with may be similar immigration circumstances.

However there may be more options available, if you give us more information on your finances.
