I dont have a Tassimo, so may i ask you if the capsules on the Tassimo would fit the Dulce Gusto?

I don't think so as IIRC they are a totally different shape (Have a LO asleep on my knee at the minute so can't check)

    Silly question ALERT

I received my coffee machine this morning and have just tried my first latte. It was easy to prepare and tasted great.

My silly question is: should I keep pressing on the capsule holder throughout the preparation of my coffee or should it be held in place by itself? I tried pushing it down firmly but was afraid I would break it if I pushed any harder. When I tried it again with no capsule inside it was easily pushed downwards. (Can you tell I've never used a coffee machine??LOL).

    Cheers

Push it right down, Nadia, it will stay in place as the hot/cold water flows through the coffee pod. To remove the used pod, then push it up again and firmly withdraw. Had mine almost 7 months and love it.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply FrostySnow. I pushed it down but was met by some resistance so was afraid to break it if I pushed any harder. Or is this resistance normal and should I use more force?

Basically you wanna push down until you feel it give slightly - at this point the bit holding the capsule will be horizontal and the handle with the silver logo will be easy to read and facing you instead of the ceiling. Hope that makes sense. Important thing is that you dont wanna keep pushing after it "gives" because at that point the pod/capsule is correctly aligned.

Also, remember that whatever colour the lid cover may be, you'll know if its the cafe lungo/expresso/cappucchino/chococcino if the underside is dark. The milk is in the capsules that have a white base. Seems obvious I know but we learned this the hard way

Not silly at all - I didn't realise you needed 2 capsules to make a cappacino - I got a lovely cup of hot milk first go! Now, that's silly! :o
