Job Title: Account Director

The Account Manager functions as BzzAgent's client liaison, strategist and project team lead on all client-facing word-of-mouth (WOM) programmes and initiatives. Responsibilities span the entire gamut of a client relationship, from up-front business development, through campaign strategy and execution, to post-launch. The Account Manager is also charged with growing existing client relationships and encouraging repeat business by (1) providing a high level of client service throughout all existing initiatives and (2) by working in partnership with the client to identify additional opportunities.
Responsibilities Include:

• Day to day client interaction: serves as the primary point of contact for all clients throughout an initiative (or multiple initiatives)
• Initiatives and strategy: responsible for working with the BzzAgent U.S. and UK teams to lead and develop campaign strategy
• Team leadership: Work with a multi-disciplinary client-focused team comprised of a project manager, art director/designer, research manager/analyst, communications manager, copywriter and web developer
• Issue/problem escalation: identify potential problems and solutions on projects and within client relationships and involve appropriate BzzAgent partners or staff to help resolve when necessary
• Opportunity identification: constantly look for new and innovative ways to expand BzzAgent services and offerings based on an ongoing understanding of WOM as a new media channel combined with clients needs and wants
• Ongoing sales: work with the sales team and with existing clients to drive repeat business
• WOM expertise: must develop a sound knowledge of the WOM channel, functioning as an expert both with the internal BzzAgent project team and with clients as well
• Acting as local contact: interact with the UK print and fulfillment vendors on campaign-related activities, and liaise with U.S. fulfillment staff

Skills & Background:

Ideal candidates will have all or most of the following:

• Experience working in a marketing, branding or advertising environment
• 4+ years of experience
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
• Market research knowledge and experience (product testing, customer surveys and analysis, market trends)
• Demonstrated ability to grow client relationships and accounts through ongoing sales
• Multi-disciplinary team management and leadership ability and experience
• Budgeting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working directly with senior representatives of Fortune 500 clients
• Experience presenting in front of small and large groups
• Experience managing printing and fulfillment vendors

Compensation

Compensation for full-time BzzAgent employees includes base salary, possible incentive bonus rewards and standard benefits. Compensation for this position will start at £25K.

We're looking for several offsite, home-based consultants with excellent writing and communication skills to support our Word-of-Mouth marketing campaigns. Consultants read, analyze, and write brief responses to word-of-mouth marketing reports via the web. This is on a contract basis, and up to a maximum of 15 hours per week.
The ideal consultants will have a thorough understanding of British culture and fluency in British colloquialisms and slang. This is a great opportunity for someone who desires flexibility and the ability to work wherever internet access exists.
Successful Communication Developers (as we call them internally) have the ability to read and respond creatively to a large volume of word-of-mouth reports that have been submitted by members of our network of volunteer brand evangelists.
