Good guide here, OK it's the 1930's but most still holds true - apart from the hotel prices! http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~econnolly/books/ulster1930.html#foreword
thanks for posting - interesting reading0 -
Good suggestions made so far. Fermanagh would be my first suggestion, lots on National Trust places, Marble Arch caves and geopark, The share centre if you are into water activities. Places to stay - Manor House hotel, Killyhevlin, or Slieve Russel just over the boarder into Ballyconnel. If you go to Ballyconnel then steak at the Anglers Rest is a must do, and afternoon tea at slieve russel.
If you are into military history then the Somme Heritage centre near Newtownards is good, followed up by a visit to Grey Point fort to look at the cannons and have a picnic. places to stay - the old school house in Comber or the Portaferry Hotel - really good 'foody' hotel but reasonably priced.0 -

I just came across this thread and I was thinking that the hubby will probably want to go to the mini show in Portrush at the end of the month. Has anyone ever tasted the food at the Coast in the Ramore as it seems reasonably priced?0
