Hi I'M 44 and I know that I am lucky to have a cleaning job-but I don't want to keep getting up at 4 oclock in the morning for the next 20 years -I want a new direction and getting a new job is very , very hard-I've tried lots of things over the years caring-not for me, sign language -same again -the only thing that I really stick to doing and don't over think about is my hobby of painting miniture figures I'm not that good but it's something that I like doing -could I go to college or something and maybe develop this into more than a hobby

            Hi Penny
I'm not sure where you are located but have you tried googling your local colleges to see what they offer? I think you may have more success looking at what local primary and secondary schools or community centres can offer too as they usually offer daytime classes like arts and crafts which might be helpful to you.0

Signing can be very lucrative, can't you learn to tolerate it?
 I wish I could do it (seriously).Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Have you looked to see whether there would be a market for these figures? Do you think that you could cope with being self employed?0

I saw a careers counsellor a while back, cost a few hundred quid, but I found it invaluable in highlighting my strengths and weaknesses and identifying potential new career paths.
PM me if you want any details if you think that may be of use. ( No I'm not related or anything, just a satisfied customer!).0

Although I would agree with the idea of careers guidance, there's no reason for anyone to pay when it's available free through the National Careers Service.
