Recently applied for a loan with Abbey and was offered a v. high interest rate. Checked my file with the Credit Reference Agencies and one has an unsatisfied County Court Judgement registered against me. This was a result of an argument I had with an insurance company. (They won...:( )

After a bit of research I found some very helpful advice on CCJ removal on this website: https://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk . They have a step by step guide to the process.

Am just about apply asking for it's removal as I paid within 28 days and therefore the judgement should not have been entered in the first place. (The website above also has a list of valid reasons to have a judgement set aside.) I will then have to write to the CRA and ask them to remove the reference to the CCJ from my file.

HTH someone.
