Temp Agency Wages Help!

Hi, I am working for a temp agency. The agency require us to complete our time sheets by midday wednesday. Thats fine and I nearly always to mine on the friday or monday so for example. Last week 30/7/2012-05/08/2012 should be submitted by tomorrow at the latest to get paid on friday.

I haven't been able to do this as the system the agency use is not working for me. I reported this monday am and its still not been resolved.

If I miss the wednesday deadline through no fault of my own, I won't get paid! I need this money for petrol and living. Is there anything i can do other than nag them which scares me as I think they won't send me to any more jobs when this one finishes.

Any advice anyone please?

What system does the agency use to receive the time sheets.

    Can you not email it

or go to a shop/post office and fax it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

It is likely that there will be something in your contract that states that if the timesheet comes in late, you won't be paid until the following payday. This is entirely legit. However if they are refusing to pay you at all then that would be illegally witholding wages. If the latter happens, contact ACAS.

Edit: here is a recent thread on the latter situation https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/54914655#Comment_54914655

If you have been working for them for a while and the reason why you might miss Wednesday's deadline is because of their system failure, they should allow for authorised hours to be submitted to them in some other way but by the due time of noon.
