Hi,
Has anyone ever obtained their credit report by post?
Im asking as I would like to see mine, but have had a bit of a problem obtaining it. I have had debts in the past and have a bad credit history. Id like to get this sorted so would like to get my credit report.
I did try to get one from Noddle, but they were unable to give me one (I did post about it on here) I have since found out from them that it is most likely because the only card I have is a Visa Electron. So I decided to see if I could get a current account with my bank (as I currently have a basic account) so I could get a proper Visa Debit card, not just an electron. I have received a letter today saying no I cant have a current account, but I can have a basic account (which Im glad about as that is what I have got :rotfl:)
They also enclosed book about credit scoring and I see that if I fill out one of the forms at the back and send it with a £2 postal order I should be able to get my credit report. Will this be the case?
I have tried to get a credit report from Call Credit in the past and all they did was take £2 out of my bank and put it back in again so Im assuming that was because they couldn't give me one with me just having a Visa Electron.
I would like to see my credit report, but I dont know my last log in details with Experian, plus I dont want to get into a monthly DD with them as I just cant afford it. I can't get many others as they can't do one with my Visa Electron card. So will I be able to get one if I apply for one by post?
Thanks

Yep - all 3 credit reference agencies will supply you with a report for £2 each, you can even pay by postal order for people who don't have any bank account). I've had postal versions from 2 of the agencies.
The forms to do this are on each website - e.g here http://www.experian.co.uk/downloads/consumer/Stat-App-Form.pdf
and here http://www.callcredit.co.uk/media/53063/creditfile-app.pdf

Thanks for that. I have the forms (the bank sent me them along with their 'we will not give you a current account letter'), but I will bookmark those so I can use them at a future date.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
