Beware, all multi-buy discounts have just been wiped out (most) on our shopping list and we only had 10 minutes to Cancel the order which we did as it increased by £13 to £83 which was unacceptable since it was £70.
Not sure if it's a glitch on the website, will find out tomorrow and will also shop in-store tomorrow.
Also not sure if people have to pay if the price changes since they've ordered the product.
Check the normal products we usually buy and they've reverted back to expensive, however roll back is still there and this may be an attempt to increase profit when demand is high (friday to sunday).0 -
Not just me then. I completely reviewed my order for next week on Friday evening as price increases and withdrawn multi-buys added about 25% to its cost.
Google found the following FT item "21 Feb 2012 ... Asda has signalled an end to the multi-buy offers that had become a staple of supermarket shopping, such as three products for the price of two...". Perhaps has finally got around implementing this policy! (The article is paywalled). The home page suggests that this is not the case.

The Ts&Cs make clear that the price due is that at the time your order is picked. My understanding is that you cannot force it to sell to you at the lower price but it cannot force you to accept delivery of anything at the higher price. (Distance selling regulations?) Not sure what would happen if the rejected goods took your order below the £25/£40 minimum levels.
Update: While reviewing an order the Why? link At the bottom goes to a page that includes...
"Please note all prices are Guide Prices only and offers are subject to change. You will be charged the price of the items on the day they are picked."
"If your're not happy with the quality of price of any of the items delivered, you can return them for a full refund by handing them back to your driver." (ASDA's typos not mine)0 -
Definitely a glitch. I added 3 x Kingsmill 50/50 loaves @ £1 They are advertised as 3 for £2.50 but they came up as £3. When I looked back later the multibuy discount had been applied. Similarly with some other items - though some of my choices are I think intentionally no longer on multibuy offer.0
