Car Boot - Fishing Stall

Hi guys,
Id like to set up a fishing stall and do some of my local car boot sales. There are some pretty big bootsales around where I live, so I think theres definatley a market for it,
I also attend them quite regularly and havent seen one of those stalls around for a long time. Ive read to set up a 'buisness' it should be something you know about and enjoy, which for me is fishing.
Can anyone tell me how id go about it ?
Cheers

I know a guy that does this, actually, and he makes a lot from it. I think most of what he sells is secondhand. He often goes round saturday carboots and buys up anything he sees, then sells it for more on sunday in a different place.
I know this probably isn't what you're thinking of selling at all, but if you were to sell little nets for kids for using at the beach as well, you'd attract extra customers in the form of a younger generation as well. Best to try to get repeat trade and this could be a way to encourage it.
And, like Lincolnshire_Poacher said, lures sell well.0 -
The thing is most customers will be keen fisherman so they are more likely to buy the branded and good tackle as opposed to cheap bulk from asia.Goal: Sunshine in summer 2013I love to spend

There are 2 fishing tackle sellers who attend the big bootsales in Colchester. They have been at it for years and make a good living out of it.Never Knowingly Understood.

Sounds a wonderful idea as it is something you are interested in.
Before you take the leap though, the bootfair season is largely coming to an end in a month or so (although some go on all year - look for undercover ones!!!)
We usually sell at as many bootfairs as possible during the season but this year (in Cornwall) we have only had ONE WEEK where the weather was good enough for the organisers to hold the sale locally and that was the day we couldn't do as we were ill.
Are there any additional inexpensive places you could sell?
Good luck but think hard before you invest too much in stock0
