I have a very old hammock ( almost thirty years i guess) that is made in a traditional way, sort of crochet i guess. This now has large holes, one almost spiltting it in two.
Is there any hope of repairing this for someone with no crocheting skills? Could i just sort of stich it together with a yarn of simialr stretch? Its very beautiful and loved.

There was a "How It's Made" programme on the telly recently about hammocks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKqd3sEvmoc
It doesn't look particularly easy
