hi all this is a some what confusing situation, i need help to fight it
i worked for company a, this was sold to company b, company b was told by the oft that some of the shops they bought were to close to some of the shops he already owned so they must be sold to some body else, company c
i worked in one of these shops,i was made aware of the situation and told that when the time came i would have a choice to either stay with company b in another shop or move to over to company c
i made a descision then that i would be staying with compay b
so, company c are just about to sign on the dotted line so i ask for a complete transfere and a new contract with company b
i was then in formed i couldnt do this as it may look like company b was stealing me as compay c bought my shop with me in the deal
my plan then is to hand in my notice with company c and start employmet with company b, i was told today though that company b are not alowed to concider any employee's that leave compay c for any kind of employment, even if i fit the job advertised perfectly
what i am trying to find out is, can they do this?
company b is more than willing to take me on, but can not do this now, i was ever informed that this is how things would be from any one that was liasing with us from compay c, i realy do not want to work for company c but i can not find a way out can any one help me
thanks

I all depends how the deal was done, sounds wrong as your contract is with company c, I cant see how it would be allowed for someone to sell you to another company, I would keep asking untill they keep to the agreement they had with you and watch what you sign as it could be a new contract for company c.0

my contract is still a company a one, i will be protected for a futher 12 months with company c, but that does not bother me as company b were offering the same0 -
in that case, without me knowing the law it sounds as if they have followed the rules.
I would just keep trying to keep them to their agreemnt.
Maybe a post on here in the cab board or a call to them might help.0 -
