I keep checking the job centre, I go through all jobs, not discounting any, out of the 250 jobs I am either not qualified for it or don't have the experience or a car etc
Any ideas?
No real skills to speak of...
I am fully aware of how difficult the current job market is, but there are a few common sense methods that will always help.
1. Write down the jobs you want or are able to do.
2. Make sure you check the relevant qualifications required before you apply for a position.
3. If you have a PC and an internet connection then, scan the various job seeking websites and have them in your favourites for quick access.
4. Have an idea of the distance that you're prepared to travel prior to applying for any job.
5. What kind of minimum annual salary are you willing to accept.
6. Make sure you have decent and relevant clothing for attending any interviews.
7. Practice your interview techniques with someone before you attend your next interview.
8. Always arrive at any interview at least 10 minutes before the time.
You probably already know most of this, but having written down in black and white as a checklist is imperative. You mentioned that you don't have the experience of a car, but if you have a driving licence then, that does open a few extra doors.
