Thank you very much for your replies, I think you are right we may as well go for the reader which is much cheaper and get the writer as and when we need one.

NCW - I've just put another drive in my Dell Dimension 3000 and is was far less straight forward than my last 2 PC's - 'cus Dell put a lip on the front of the drive bay.
I had to take the PSU out in the end to do it. PM me if you want a run through of what I did.All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0 -
