Will lender waive ERC for misinforming me of lending criteria to port?

  • To be fair, on my understanding the OP wants to port the mortgage, hence avoid an ERC, rather than wanting to re-mortgage to a different deal and avoid the ERC. The latter would be naive, but the wish to port the remaining six months. Could be easier to negotiate in these circumstances, with provable income? Only my thoughts!

    That's the contract terms you signed up to. You only have yourself to blame if you intended moving within the 2 year term.
