I know its shameful but I dont know the rules of freezing chicken or meat so left overs tend to go in the bin!!
I just cooked a chicken pasta bake.... can I...
1) Stick the leftovers in the fridge then blast it in the microwave tomorrow or possible 2 days later?
2) Can I freeze it?

The rule is not to defrost raw (meat) and the refreeze UNLESS the meat has been cooked.
It's also not ideal to defrost and refreeze cooked meat.
Each time the meat has the chance to raise in temperature, it's a chance for bacteria to grow. Ideally all foods should be cooled quickly and refrigerated or frozen within 30 minutes.
When reheating, you need to make sure it's piping hot all the way through then eat it. After that it really should be disposed of, not eaten if cooled and not reheated again.
Different foods last different amounts of time in the fridge, but your pasta bake should be fine 2 days later.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -

Nothing gets wasted in our house. The smallest portions get frozen for future use! As long as you stick by the "rules" outlined by kitschkitty you will be fine!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
