Cheeky £500 off?

We are negotiating on a property and the vendor has come back with an offer of 84,500 after our offer of 83,000 on a 86,000 property.

Would I be cheeky in calling back and saying 84,000? I have a feeling of being rude in trying to knock £500 off.

dont feel rude, thats what negotiations are for.... That £500 can buy you a lot!

People sometimes forget when the majority of the cost is a mortgage at a quid a month extra, but it is all money..

Say it is top of your budget and you cannot get mortgage for anymore - hopefully you have not given agent an AIP for much more!!

Go for it - that's how the game works. If they agree to your offer thats £500 you can use in your new home.
