Citroen C8 indicator 'noise'

Sorry this is a bit complicated to explain, please stick with me. My OH has a Citroen C8 and the noise it used to make when you put the indicators on has stopped working.

The indicators still work, all the lights and bulbs work but it is only the noise that isn't there any more. The car is due it's MOT next week and as we've had problems with MOTs and Citroen before now we wondered if the no noise could in any way fail the car?

We've tried asking Citroen but they say that will be considered when they do the MOT and they won't say beforehand as its the wrong department.

Thanks

There's no mention of an audible warning, it just mentions "tell tale". So if the indicator warning lamp is working (plus the actual indicators of course) surely it will not fail?
Lots of vehicles have a very quite "click", in my Toyota it can't be heard and that hasn't been a problem with M.O.T..

Provided the only thing 'wrong' is the lack of noise it will not fail the MoT. As a Citroen driver I'm quite fed up of the apparently random electrical faults that develop and then cure themselves, and with at least two of the faults I've had, the loss of indicator noise seems to be a side-effect. A Citroen mechanis I know reckoned that pulling the 'HS' fuse out and counting to 10 before putting it back in solves a lot of niggles like this.

Thank you for the speedy replies. We've booked the car in for an MOT next week .

Use a Council run MOT. They don't go looking for work as they have no need to.

As for the noise, it could be the COMS2000 unit thats failed. Cost a few hundred to replace, but 2nd hand ones can be got.

However, when I borrowed a DS4 a few weeks ago you could change the noise of the indicators - just wondering if you could turn them off?

I know on Saab's that when the amplifier under the passenger seat fails then the indicators stop making the noise and the reverse sensors stop beeping too.
