Hi all,
A bit of a pressing issue here. We are getting married April08. Our current financial situation isnt what you would say,in great shape.
We currently have a joint debt of approx £7000.00 which (we pay £250.00 each a month into a savings acc, resulting in us hoping to clear the loan in full by the end of the summer).
Because of us doing this, and trying to clear the debt, we havent had the chance to save much for our wedding. We are wondering if we are going to find it difficult come the time of our wedding to borrow 10-15k?
We also at this present minute in time are looking for a house. We dont plan to get anything too soon(probably not until Feb08) but will our changed of getting a m'gage suffer because of these loans?
Really hope someone can help us?

Hi
I am no expert at all but would suggest you post your SOA so that others can help you.
As to borrowing more money for your wedding it will depend upon your credit status but do you really need £15k? There is another board which will give you loads of hints and tips on getting the best deals/ideas to cut costs but still having a really special day.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Hi, can't offer much help sorry.
The only thing I can say is that me and hubby got married in November and we weren't doing well financially but instead of borrowing more money for the wedding we managed to save £2000 and this covered the cost of everything including all clothes, food, reception venue, drinks...everything.
We had a wonderful day I think we enjoyed it more because we knew it was all paid for and not on credit cards, loans etc.
I'm sure if you can manage to save a bit you will still have an excellent day for the smallest cost and if you need anymore help feel free to pm me.
