Good morning folks, long time lurker on this thread for tips but today i have to ask for some help,
i have vinyl wood effect flooring, my dog has a large bed - big cushion which is covered in black shiny material - kind of like sleeping bag material - anyway its normally covered by a furry covering but it was in the was and he slept on just the cushion,
well this mronign i have moved the cushion and there is a massive black stain on the floor, tried to mop and then bleach and its not shifting, im thinking it must be dy from the fabric?
anyone have any tips i can try tonight, this is rented accomodation and i am freaking out!

Have you tried one of those foam washing up pads with the nylon scourer? Go over it gently to see if that starts to bring it up, they are quite gentle so probably shouldn't hurt the floor surface. Good luck!:hello:  please play nicely children !0

Or, try those magic eraser sponges.
You can get them in pound shops, for a pack of six. Or two for about £3 or £4 in a supermarket
They are microfibre and really good at lifting marks. I've been using them to get paint splashes of my laminate, and dirty fingermarks off anything and everything.Bossymoo

I'd try some bicarbonate of soda as a paste with your favourite floor cleaner & scourer as suggested by babyblooz. Soda crystals also work well at floor cleaning.0

I agree. We have some Amtico black and white tiles in our hall and the magic eraser sponges work every time with hardly any effort on marks that everything else fails to shift (we have plenty of marks...two small kids and two clumsy dogs..)
Once you get some you'll probably start using them on everything! They're great on double glazing frames too.0 -

I second the magic sponges - I have used them on my cushionfloor and they erase black marks like, well, like 'magic'! also wonderful on crayon or ink marks on painted walls and doors! Upvc comes up beautifully too. I get mine from Aldi - but the ones from pound shops work just as well.0
